The opening dates have finally been announced for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney theme parks. The new land will be opening Summer 2019 at Disneyland Resort and in late Fall 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort’s Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney also unveiled the name of the village in the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge world, which will be Black Spire Outpost. The story behind Black Spire Outpost is that it’s a stop for traders, adventurers, and smugglers traveling around the Outer Rim and Wild Space—a haven for the galaxy’s most colorful characters.

In addition, a Star Wars immersive resort is in the works, which will be located on the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, east of World Drive. This location will allow guests to easily connect to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land, giving them a fully immersed experience. Guests will be greeted by characters as they board the starship (the resort), and every cabin (guestroom) window will have views of space.

Now, start reaching out to all of those Star Wars fans on your roster and get them ready for 2019.
