Hotel del Coronado, along with Beach Village at The Del, in California have added four-legged guests to their roster. Pets are now welcomed through the Del Dogs & Cats program, which pampers pets upon check-in with an in-room pet dining menu, dog and cat treats, bedding and more.
The resort is also introducing “Yappy Hour” for guests and locals with pets on its sun deck from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Sunday, starting May 4. Pets can snack on Evian and kibble, while their owners take in the ocean setting and pet-inspired edible treats and drinks.
The Del’s pet amenities include a placemat, water and food dishes, waste bags or litter box, scratching pad for cats, and dog and cat treats created by the resort’s pastry chef. A gourmet chef-prepared menu is also available for room service for the pets. There are also nearby pet walking, pet-sitting, dog grooming and veterinary services. A pet-friendly guide to Coronado Island will be provided, which includes a nearby dog beach, located less than a mile from the resort. Specialized bedding, crates, collars and leashes are also available for use during the stay.
