Inside Disney’s New Lakeshore Lodge: What Advisors Should Know

Disney fans looking for a new way to stay at Walt Disney World will have another option in 2027. Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is set to open July 1, 2027, bringing 967 rooms, villas, studios and new waterfront Lake Houses to the shores of Bay Lake.

For travel advisors, the resort offers another Disney lodging option to consider for clients who want the theme-park experience paired with a more nature-focused setting. Disney’s latest preview also gives a first look at the resort’s grand lobby and Branch & Brush, a new lounge overlooking Bay Lake.

A Nature-Inspired Disney Stay

Lakeshore Lodge will lean into Disney storytelling while drawing heavily from its natural surroundings. The lobby will feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the landscape, along with a shimmering fiber-optic river winding around a custom bronze centerpiece created by Walt Disney Imagineering.

The design takes inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Pocahontas, with Disney characters incorporated into the centerpiece. A suspended blown-glass sculpture inspired by “Colors of the Wind” will add another nod to the film.

A New Bay Lake Lounge

Just beyond the lobby, Branch & Brush will offer handcrafted cocktails and views of Bay Lake. The lounge will combine natural textures and rich colors with seasonal artwork and a color-changing chandelier representing the four seasons.

The resort’s outdoor setting will also be a major part of the guest experience, particularly for travelers drawn to the quieter side of a Walt Disney World vacation.

Lake Houses Add a New Stay Option

One of the most distinctive accommodations will be the new one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses, freestanding retreats along Bay Lake with A-frame architecture, floor-to-ceiling windows and private porches overlooking the water.

The one-bedroom Lake Houses will sleep up to five guests, while the two-bedroom versions will accommodate up to eight. Both will feature full kitchens and washers and dryers, making them particularly relevant for families and multigenerational groups.

Beyond the Lake Houses, accommodations will include duo studios and spacious villas, giving advisors several room categories to match different party sizes and trip styles.
