Margaritaville at Sea Adds Costa Rica and Panama

For the first time, Margaritaville at Sea will visit Limon, Costa Rica, and Colon, Panama. For clients looking to venture beyond the traditional Caribbean, the itinerary opens access to Costa Rica’s rainforests and Caribbean coast while adding the opportunity to explore Panama’s tropical landscapes, culture and the Panama Canal.

The 2028 schedule also returns to destinations including Key West, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Belize, Roatan, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Bimini, Nassau and Progreso.

New Ways to Cruise From Tampa

Islander features several speciality voyages from Port Tampa Bay.

The ship will return to New Orleans for Mardi Gras in 2028, with an overnight stay giving guests additional time to experience the city’s celebrations. The cruise line is also bringing back its Sail the Haunted Seas Halloween sailing, this time with an overnight in New Orleans before continuing to Progreso for Dia de los Muertos.

Another standout for Caribbean-focused clients is a sailing featuring all three “ABC” islands—Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao—from Tampa. The cruise line says it will be the only cruise from Tampa in 2028 to visit all three islands on a single voyage.

Specialty sailings will also include a 5-night Islander cruise to Key West and Bimini timed around International Parrothead Day on June 28, along with additional holiday-themed departures and music-focused cruises featuring artists and exclusive performances.

Beachcomber Expands From Galveston

Meanwhile, Beachcomber will continue sailing from Galveston with new itinerary combinations, including a Mexico-focused cruise visiting Cozumel, Progreso and Veracruz.

As the largest ship in the Margaritaville at Sea fleet, Beachcomber features more than 15 venues exclusive to the ship, including Same Boat, a live music venue developed with three-time GRAMMY Award winner Zac Brown. The ship also offers upgraded staterooms, reimagined dining and a mix of entertainment and onboard spaces.

From Tampa, Islander combines longer Caribbean and Mexico itineraries with specialty sailings. Onboard highlights include a 14-story atrium, the three-story poolside LandShark Bar at Sea, signature dining and entertainment, and spaces designed for families, couples and groups of friends.
