Fairmont Pacific Rim Takes Wellness a Step Further
Fairmont Pacific Rim is hosting its first guided sauna residency, marking the hotel’s first partnership with a dedicated contrast therapy brand. Kolm Kontrast, Vancouver’s sauna and cold plunge studio, brings the Kolm Self-Care Series to the Himalayan Salt Sauna at Fairmont Spa, starting Sept. 30.
Sessions run every other Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kolm is known for turning sauna and cold plunge from a solo practice into a guided group experience, and it has adapted three of its signature rituals for the hotel’s sauna, including the Gua Sha, Lymphatic Detox and Sound Healing treatments.
Each ritual lasts 10 to 12 minutes and blends heat, towel waving and aromatherapy with guided practices intended to restore both mind and body.
The two Vancouver brands share a focus on wellness, guest experience, thoughtful design and elevated service, which shapes how the series is delivered.
Booking details are simple for clients. You can reserve the experience for your clients through Fairmont Spa Access for $139 for 90 minutes.

The Tampa EDITION Adds Ammortal Chamber
This fall, the spa at The Tampa EDITION introduces the Ammortal Chamber, the only experience of its kind open to the public in the Tampa Bay region. Bookings are already open.
Each session pairs zero-gravity relaxation with non-invasive technologies, including vibration, frequency, light and guided breathwork. Five primary modalities make up the treatment:
- Red and near-infrared light therapy (PBM), which stimulates cellular energy (ATP) production, aids tissue repair, reduces inflammation and supports skin and muscle recovery
- Pulsed energetic fields (PSEF and PEMF effects)
- Molecular hydrogen therapy
- Vibroacoustic sound therapy
- Guided breathwork and meditation
Sessions run 25 or 50 minutes and sit alongside the spa’s existing treatments and rituals. Listed benefits of regular use include reduced inflammation and stress, faster muscle recovery, a deep nervous system reset, greater mental clarity, better sleep quality and cellular rejuvenation.
The chamber extends a philosophy already guiding the spa under Director Laura Majer, who conceived it as a sensory sanctuary. As they enter, guests encounter a black tea fragrance made exclusively for EDITION by Le Labo, blend their own tea in the lounge and experience sound bowls, breathwork and grounding touch. The new addition frames self-care as restoration, with guests replenishing themselves before pouring into anything else. It also connects the property to the growing longevity movement.
For clients, the fit is broad: travelers working through jet lag, athletes, entertainers and Tampa locals.

Return to Wholeness
Aethos Ericeira in Portugal has added a wellness option for clients who want a true reset. Return to Wholeness is a 5-day retreat built around mindful movement, nutrition, spa rituals, meditation and deep rest. The hotel sits above Praia da Calada on Ericeira’s Atlantic coast, between cliffs and open ocean.
Departures run Nov. 11-15 and Dec. 16-20, 2026, plus Feb. 17-21, 2027. Ines Rodrigues and Sofia Rodrigues guide guests through the program, which targets physical, mental and emotional well-being. The aim is for travelers to go home with nature-inspired practices they can keep using, along with a calmer, lighter feel for everyday life.
The package covers four nights and includes:
- Two daily yoga practices led by Sofia Rodrigues, with meditation and breathwork built into each session
- Manduka mats, props and cushions for the length of the stay
- Three full-body spa treatments, each tailored to the individual guest
- Unlimited use of the wellness facilities, including the steam room, sauna, cold plunge, pool and gym
- Organic, seasonal meals prepared by chef Pedro Filipe
- Daily vitality shots and freshly brewed herbal teas
- An in-room ritual set designed to ease guests into restful sleep
For advisors, the fixed dates and all-inclusive format make this an easy fit for clients who want structure and guided support rather than a spa stay they plan themselves. Nothing needs to be assembled on-site, and the pairing of daily practice with spa time and set meals keeps the itinerary simple to explain.
