Bay Gardens Resorts gave international travel professionals a first look at its newest property, Sapphire Sands Villas, during a private event held as part of the inaugural Saint Lucia Showcase International.
The showcase brought travel professionals from the U.S., Canada, the UK, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean to Saint Lucia to experience the island’s tourism offerings firsthand.
Organized by the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Tourism, the event allowed advisors and other industry partners to tour Sapphire Sands, the Saint Lucian family-owned hotel group’s first entry into the luxury market.
Located directly on Reduit Beach, Sapphire Sands features views of Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island National Landmark. Travel professionals toured the property’s new accommodations, Moonstone Spa and one of the island’s largest state-of-the-art fitness facilities.
The property also introduced attendees to Kimchi & Kalaloo (K&K), its newly opened Asian-Caribbean fusion restaurant and bar.
A New Luxury Option for Advisors
Sapphire Sands represents a new direction for Bay Gardens, which has built its portfolio around Saint Lucian hospitality for more than three decades.
“Sapphire Sands represents our first entrance into the five-star luxury market, built and operated by Saint Lucians for travelers who want to experience our island at its very best. Nine villas, configurable from one to three bedrooms, welcome families, honeymooners, and groups of friends to a standard of authentic luxury that only Bay Gardens can deliver,” said Sanovnik Destang, Executive Director of Bay Gardens Resorts, in a media statement.
“Butler service extends to every room at Sapphire Sands, paired with the signature Bay Gardens hospitality that our Caribbean neighbors know and love,” Destang added.
“Authenticity is the luxury here. Our partners can now put a client in a three-bedroom villa on Reduit Beach and promise them Saint Lucia at a five-star standard with butler service in every room,” said Anice O’Neil, Commercial Director for Bay Gardens Resorts, in a press statement.
The development also drew support from Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Minister for Tourism, who attended the event and highlighted Bay Gardens Resorts’ continued investment in Saint Lucia’s tourism product.
