Caribbean Tourism Expert Takes Helm at Nevis Tourism Authority

The Nevis Tourism Authority has appointed Andia Ravariere as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective Sept. 1, 2025. With over 10 years of experience in tourism development and destination marketing throughout the Caribbean region, Ravariere brings substantial expertise to guide Nevis toward sustainable growth.

“Andia’s experience in guiding destinations through both growth and recovery, along with her passion for community-driven tourism, perfectly aligns with our vision for Nevis,” said Pamela Martin, Chairperson of the Board of the NTA, in a press statement. “We look forward to working closely with her to build on our momentum, strengthen relationships with global partners, and ensure that Nevis continues to stand out as one of the Caribbean’s most unique and sustainable destinations.”

Andia Ravariere, new Chief Executive Officer for the Nevis Tourism Authority.

Ravariere’s previous role at the Ministry of Tourism in Anguilla spanned seven years, during which she played a pivotal role in rebuilding the tourism industry following the pandemic. Most recently, as Destination Marketing Manager for Discover Dominica Authority, she implemented strategies that significantly increased visitor numbers while expanding into specialized market segments.

The new CEO’s professional journey reflects her commitment to community-centered tourism development. In 2013, she established the Colihaut Community Tourism Development group in Dominica and created the now-popular Colihaut Fish Lime event. This initiative strengthened local industries and created economic opportunities, particularly for women entrepreneurs in the area.

Her strategic approach focuses on differentiation rather than competition among Caribbean destinations. She prioritizes identifying and promoting each island’s unique characteristics to help them stand out in the global marketplace. This collaborative philosophy avoids operational silos by ensuring all stakeholders participate in the tourism development process.

“My vision is to position Nevis at the forefront of Caribbean tourism by strategically redefining luxury through nature, culture, sustainability and innovation,” said Andia Ravariere in a press statement. “With the goal of delivering world-class experiences to discerning travelers, empowering our people and safeguarding the island’s heritage. Nevis is committed to tourism that protects our environment, celebrates our culture and empowers our people, ensuring that growth today secures a thriving island for generations to come.”

Ravariere’s academic credentials include both a Master’s degree in Tourism Development and Management and a Bachelor’s degree in International Tourism Management from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine campus.
