2021 is gearing up to be an extraordinary one for Seabourn with the launch of the 132-suite Seabourn Venture, the cruise line’s new purpose-built PC6, ultra-luxury expedition ship.
Launching December 2021—with a sister ship following in 2022—Seabourn Venture’s inaugural season, already open for booking, begins with a series of awe-inspiring 10- to 14-night Winter Norway expeditions exploring snowcapped mountains, giant fjords and the second longest coastline in the world. Searching for the majestic Northern Lights and learning about each region’s fascinating Viking history and culture is just the beginning, as your clients will also have once-in-a lifetime experiences such as dogsledding at twilight and exploring the underwater world of Norway with Seabourn Venture’s two 6-person expedition submarines. Snowshoeing, overnight winter camps, and kayaking? That’s also part of the adventure.
In addition, there will be a Seabourn signature event on all voyages for all guests on a complimentary basis: Concert in the Northern Lights Cathedral & Seabourn Signature Evening Event at the northern town of Alta, Norway.
Winter Norway expeditions include the 12-day Norway, Northern Lights & North Cape, Seabourn Venture’s inaugural voyage from Greenwich, England, to Tromsø, Norway, departing Dec. 11, 2021 (the sailing is already sold out based on pre-booking for past Seabourn guests); the 14-day holiday voyage, the Holiday Northern Lights, North Cape & Norway, from Tromsø to Copenhagen, departing Dec. 23, 2021; the 12-day Norway & North Cape – In Search of Northern Lights, which sails between Tromsø and Copenhagen (departures from Tromsø: Jan. 18 and March 7, 2022; departures from Copenhagen: Jan. 6 and 30, Feb. 23 and March 19, 2022); two 12-day Norway & North Cape itineraries, sailing between Tromsø & Copenhagen March 31 and April 12, 2022; and the 10-day Norwegian Spring, roundtrip from Tromsø, departing April 24, 2022.
Seabourn Venture (and her sister ship) are equipped for exploration with two custom-built submarines, 24 zodiacs, kayaks, plus a world-class 26-person Expedition Team that features world-renowned scientists, historians, wildlife experts and naturalists, setting the stage for immersive once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Clients booked on Seabourn Venture’s Winter Norway expeditions will receive complimentary custom-designed jackets and waterproof backpacks.
The ship’s 132 guest suites each feature a private veranda, minibar and refrigerator refilled daily, an in-suite bar, custom Molton Brown amenities, an interactive entertainment system, Seabourn-exclusive Swarovski binoculars, and a personal suite stewardess.
