It’s never too early to make your reservations for the Day of the Dead in Mexico. This November, TAFER Hotels & Resorts is pulling out all the stops for its first-ever Day of the Dead celebration in its all-inclusive luxury properties in Los Cabos, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta. This inaugural event will last all month long, with different experiences planned, including specialty gourmet dining, authentic Mexican music and dance performances, art exhibitions, immersive décor, numerous Day of the Dead-themed children’s activities and more.

Día de los Muertos has always been a key component of Mexico’s heritage as a way to honor and celebrate our ancestors, and we are thrilled to present our guests with an opportunity to experience parts of this tradition firsthand,” said Sasa Milojevic, chief operating officer for TAFER Hotels & Resorts, in a press statement. “Our first official Day of the Dead Celebration will capture the essence of Mexico by curating unique and authentic experiences to both educate our guests and provide them with an unforgettable vacation at one of our properties.”

In honor of the spirit of Day of the Dead, TAFER’s properties will be transformed entirely throughout November with traditional altar displays, Catrina skulls ready for photo moments in the lobby, lively mariachi performances in the restaurants and common areas, local artist exhibitions and more. The resorts’ public pathways will be lined with cempasúchil flowers (marigolds) and sugar skulls, and the staff members will be outfitted in colorful Día de los Muertos attire.

TAFER’s Day of the Dead Celebration will take place from Nov. 1-30, 2022, at Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa and Hotel Mousai in Puerto Vallarta, Villa del Palmar Cancun, Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Cancun and Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos. Festivities and activities will be complimentary for guests who purchase the Gourmet Culinary All-Inclusive Plan and will receive a mezcal welcome kit, daily in-suite traditional café de olla coffee, a romantic ritual massage for two and more. Those who purchase the European Plan will have to pay an additional fee for certain events and activities.
