Portugal and Spain are awaiting you on this new 16-day FAM trip with Sunny Land Tours.
This fully escorted English-only speaking guided tour is a small group tour experience with just a total of 24 participants.
Highlights of this 16-day tour of Northern Spain & Portugal from Madrid include a Douro river cruise, 11 UNESCO sites and guided city tours. You’ll get to enjoy a traditional tapas dinner, experience a wine tasting at a traditional wine cellar in La Rioja, taste a traditional pintxo dinner in Bilbao, take in the views at La Concha bay in San Sebastian, enjoy dinner at a traditional cider house in Oviedo, take a boat trip in the Spanish fjords, and be moved by the sounds of fado at typical restaurant in Lisbon.
Stops are in Madrid, Burgos, La Rioja, Bilbao, San Sebastian, the old fishing village “Castro Urdiales,” Santander, Santillana del Mar, one of the most important historical artistic towns in Spain, Covadonga, where you will have free time to see the Sanctuary and the Grotto where you will see the patroness of Asturias our Lady of Covadonga, Oviedo, Mondoñedo, to try the delicious “Mondoñedo cake,” Lugo, Santiago de Compostela—all in Spain, In Portugal, you’ll head to Porto, Coimbra, one of the oldest universities in Europe and the birthplace of fado, Fatima, Batalha Monastery, the picturesque fishing town of Nazare, Alcobaca and Lisbon. Then it’s a final stop in Caceres, Spain before heading back to Madrid.
FAM rates are $2,499. There are two pending dates in October: 15 and 22.
