Hamilton Princess & Beach Club in Bermuda has reopened with health and safety protocols in place, complimentary medical support to in-house guests, and a reopening package.

“We are extremely pleased to officially welcome guests back to Hamilton Princess & Beach Club,” said Tim Morrison, general manager of Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, in a press release statement. “The hotel’s top priority remains the safety, health and wellbeing of our Hamilton Princess family and our guests. While the global pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on our industry, our island and our team members, we are extremely grateful for the support of our colleagues during this difficult time—I know that we all look forward to getting back to work and demonstrating our famous hospitality and world-class service to all those who stay with us.”

The resort is offering a reopening package, Bermuda Bliss, where travelers receive up to 40 percent off the best available rate and a $100 resort credit. Starting at $229 per night for a Fairmont King Room, the offer is available now through the end of the year, with eligible stays through Dec. 31, 2021 and fully flexible cancellation up to 72 hours prior to arrival.

Social distancing requirements are in place across the Bermuda property, including at Exhale Spa, and the pools, both offering poolside food and beverage service. Guests can also pre-order a picnic basket and hop on the iconic pink and white jitneys—with physical distancing in place as well—and head to the private Princess Beach Club at Sinky Bay, where they have the option to relax in the in-water hammocks or partake in an array of watersports, including paddleboarding, snorkeling and kayaking. Onsite dining venues include 1609, with views over the water with local seafood delivered to the hotel’s docks; Crown & Anchor, with its classic pub fare; and the brand-new Duchess Cafe and Gelateria. The Gold Lounge, Marcus’, and Marcus’ on the Beach remain closed. Dining reservations are recommended at the resort’s open restaurants to facilitate contact tracing.

Insurance Partnership for Peace of Mind
Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, through Accor, is utilizing a new service in partnership with AXA, to provide complimentary medical support to in-house guests. This means that any guest with a non-urgent medical need can be put in touch with a medical practitioner over the phone for no cost.

Elevated Health & Safety Protocols
New health and safety protocols, developed with Hamilton Princess & Beach Club’s parent company, Accor, and in line with local government guidelines, have been implemented throughout the hotel following a comprehensive staff orientation and training in new procedures. Some of these measures include temperature checks for everyone entering the property, masks required throughout indoor public spaces and limited numbers of guests in elevators. Each guestroom will be provided with a wellness kit that includes masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. Hand sanitizer stations have also been placed in key areas throughout the hotel for convenience.

Guestrooms and common areas will be cleaned to the highest standards by specially trained, professional housekeepers, using EPA registered disinfectants that have proven effective in preventing the transmission of all viruses and pathogens, including COVID-19—in accordance with local health guidelines. As an additional precaution, guestrooms will be deep cleaned and left vacant for a minimum of 48 hours after each stay.
