Transcend’s food and beverage program is rooted in European culinary and wine excellence with a chef-driven restaurant and contemporary bar/lounge experience.

Transcend Cruises invites travel advisors and meeting planners to experience group travel in a new way. As the only 100 percent charter river cruise company, the line is offering an exclusive 8-day European FAM trip, April 3-10, 2024.

You’ll traverse the inland waterways of the Low Countries—Holland and Belgium—roundtrip from Rotterdam, second largest city in the Netherlands, whose history dates back to 1270 when a dam was constructed on the Rotte River.

From there, it’s on to Nijmegen—largest city in the Dutch province of Gelderland—whose 2,000-year history makes it one of the area’s oldest cities. Its hilly terrain gave it strategic importance to Roman soldiers who built a camp there in the first century BCE.

Going Dutch: The Netherlands and the Flemish Region of Belgium

Other points of interest on this river cruise include the port city of Antwerp, which is set on Belgium’s River Scheldt and is part of the Dutch-speaking Flemish region known for its medieval history and centuries-old Diamond District housing thousands of diamond traders, cutters and polishers.

Also in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium is the city of Ghent, which had a huge (for the time) population of 50,000 people in the year 1300 and today boasts a lively urban center of dining and shopping alongside its incredible castles.

On day seven, the cruise stops in the legendary capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam, known for its world-class museums, quirky festivals, theater, live music, laid-back bars, acclaimed restaurants and, of course, its elaborate canal system.

Transcend’s ships feature 60 identical, oversized staterooms (210 sf) accommodating 120 guests maximum, which convert in pairs to 30 two-bath suites (420 sf) or any configuration in between. With an emphasis on culinary excellence and wellness, Transcend voyages feature a 2,600-sf, three-deck, indoor/outdoor fitness, spa and wellness facility— the largest and most comprehensive of any river cruising vessel.

FAM rates start at $1,399 dbl, including all food and beverages, daily activities, shore excursions and gratuities.
