Time in Cairo includes a half-day city tour featuring a visit to the Egyptian Museum where archaeological pieces dating as far back as 3000 B.C. are in exhibit followed by a visit to the Bazaar. From there, it’s on to Luxor and four nights on the Nile with the M/S Nile Carnival, a modern cruise vessel with 4 suites and 68 comfortable deluxe cabins 215 sf each, and 2 single cabins 145 sf each. Each cabin has a mini-bar, TV, telephone, hair dryer and individually controlled A/C.
Passengers will also enjoy a free day in Luxor, with optional visits to the Luxor Temples, Karnak Temples, Thebes, Valley of Kings and the Collossi of Memnon. Other options include guided visits to the Edfu Temple as well as visits to the Temple of Philae, High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk site.
The M/S Carnival sails from Luxor every Thursday for a 4-night cruise and from Aswan every Monday for a 3-night Nile River cruise.
