Tara Tours is hosting an 8-day FAM to Argentina from March 23-30, 2025. The Argentine adventure begins in Buenos Aires with dinner and a vibrant tango show at Gala Tango, where the rhythms of Argentina’s iconic dance and rich culture are paired with plenty of fine wine to set the mood for the days ahead.
The following morning take a 5-hour city tour of Bueno Aires with a stop at Plaza de Mayo, the heart of the city, surrounded by important buildings such as the Casa Rosada (the iconic pink government palace), Cabildo (the old city hall) and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Additional stops include the Congress Building and its grand square and the charming San Telmo neighborhood with its rich in history.
The FAM continues to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, to set sail on the Beagle Channel. On this excursion, you’ll have the opportunity to photograph 600-pound male sea lions. The journey continues aboard a comfortable vessel cruising past the Bridges Islands, the Archipelago and the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse—a remote-controlled lighthouse perched on an island off southern Argentina.
Embark on a full-day adventure to Tierra del Fuego National Park, Argentina’s southernmost national park, renowned for its breathtaking views of the Beagle Channel. The highlight of the day includes a hike to Negra Lagoon or the Beavers Path. Fly to Peninsula de Valdez and visit the Museum of Paleontology Egidio Feruglio, where exhibits trace Patagonia’s natural history from ancient human settlements to the giant dinosaurs of the Mesozoic era. The museum also features a state-of-the-art fossil preparation lab, where visitors can witness ongoing excavations.
Explore Estancia San Lorenzo, home to the world’s largest Magellan penguin colony. Enjoy a traditional Patagonian BBQ and observe a variety of wildlife, including sea lions and orcas, in their natural habitats.
