Stunning China is offering a 16-day Classic China and Yangtze River FAM, visiting Beijing, Xi’an, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. The first several nights of the tour are spent in China’s capital city, Beijing, where guests can explore the Forbidden City and Summer Palace, the Great Wall of China and Beijing Zoo. At the same time, guests will have the opportunity to experience Chinese culture through a tai chi demonstration and a visit to the Chinese Herbal Institute where they’ll learn about traditional Chinese medicine and enjoy a foot massage. Next, it’s off to Xi’an to see the hundreds of life-size statues of soldiers, chariots, and horses that make up the Terracotta Warriors & Horses Museum.
Mid-way through the trip, guests are whisked away to Chongqing in southwest China to begin their 4-day Yangtze River cruise. The downstream river journey weaves through the Three Gorges, making a stop in Zhong County for a shore excursion to the Shibaozhai wooden pagoda. An optional shore excursion is available to visit Fengdu’s “Ghost City,” known for its statues of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill. The cruise ends in Shanghai.
Later, it’s on to Hangzhou, considered the tea capital of China, for a trip to the Tea House at Meijiawu Tea Village; then Suzhou, for an optional cruise along the Grand Canal.
