Conrad Punta de Mita, Hilton’s first-ever Conrad brand resort in Mexico, and the second Conrad brand property in the country, is now open. The 324-room property is situated beside the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific on a two-mile-long beach.

“The opening of Conrad Punta de Mita marks an important milestone for Hilton, as we bring Conrad-level style, service and experiences to the shores of Riviera Nayarit,” said Jorge Giannattasio, Hilton’s senior vice president and head of operations, Caribbean & Latin America, in a statement. “As one of Mexico’s most sought-after destinations, Punta de Mita is the perfect location for the newest addition to our luxury portfolio in the region, and we can’t wait for our guests to discover the inspired experiences that await at Conrad Punta de Mita.”

Global architecture firm SB Architects headed up the design of the resort,  focusing on the landscape, history and rich multi-cultural identity of the region. Accentuated by lush tropical vegetation, open corridors and contemporary coastal décor, the resort’s nature-centric aesthetic enhances wellness and reflects a core belief of the Huichol: that transformation and personal development occur through connection to nature. Blurring the line between the natural and built environment, thoughtfully designed spaces throughout the resort are open to the sky or contain apertures that provide a gateway to the natural world. These include the beach grill and sunset bar’s butterfly roof, a framed pergola welcoming guests in the main building and an event lawn surrounded by mangroves.

The guest stay experience at Conrad Punta de Mita will restore traveler confidence as guests enjoy the advantages of a brand-new resort located within the upscale Litibu gated community, where they can experience opportunities that meet today’s trends: open, uncrowded spaces and access to nature. The hotel is also rolling out Hilton CleanStay, Hilton´s industry-defining standard of cleanliness and disinfection in properties around the world. The elevated processes and Team Member training have been developed with RB, maker of Lysol and Dettol, to help Conrad Punta de Mita guests enjoy an even cleaner and safer stay from check-in to check-out.

To ensure less crowding, the resort opens with a selection of its 324 guestrooms and suites available, offering a full-service resort experience with the volume of a boutique hotel. For those seeking an even greater sense of seclusion and exclusivity, and especially ideal for those traveling in small groups, villa-like ‘Casas’ house a combination of guest rooms and suites, some featuring large patios, plunge pools, freestanding soaking tubs and outdoor showers. All accommodations boast modern design and coastal décor that enhance the natural beauty of the resort’s surrounding tropical oasis, and all offer sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean.

“Conrad Punta de Mita not only represents the Conrad brand’s resort debut in Riviera Nayarit, but also institutes a new era of luxury in the destination,” said Nils-Arne Schroeder, global brand head, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and head of Luxury & Lifestyle, Asia Pacific. “Our talented team has put forth a tremendous effort to instill Conrad’s world-renowned and prestigious reputation of delivering intuitive service, infinite connections and a world of style in the core of this property that transforms the way today’s generation of travelers experience this coveted spot in Mexico.”

The resort features three expansive pools, a long stretch of sandy beach, access to the Litibu Golf Course, outdoor fitness lawn for yoga and stretching and experiential visits to a local fish market to witness the local lifestyle. The Conrad SPA, spread across 10,000 square feet, offers a unique indoor/outdoor design complete with seven cocoon treatment cabanas nestled among the vegetation and connected by an inspiring tunnel of plants and flowers, as well as the first-ever traditional Temazcal in a Hilton property.

Four restaurant and three bar concepts offer menus and experiences that pay tribute to age-old techniques and flavors of the local culture, all set in a serene ambiance. Upon arrival guests will enjoy a traditional ‘Raicilla’ based welcome drink at TUKI, the resort’s lobby bar. MEZQUITE is the perfect spot to enjoy a casual lunch. Debuting later in the fall is specialty restaurant CODEX, inspired by the ancient Aztec book of herbs, ‘Codice,’ featuring traditional Mexican fare prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Its daily cleansing and sunset rituals will delight diners, as well as the seasonal Full Moon Experience complete with a ‘SICIRI’ menu curated by the phases of the moon, on-property fermented mezcal tasting, and discussion with a local farmer on the health benefits of their crops and herbs used to prepare the meal.

Conrad Punta de Mita’s first guests can take advantage of an opening offer, the “Hola Conrad” package when booking four nights or more. Starting at $349 per night, the package includes luxury round trip airport transfers, $100 resort credit and complimentary access to Conrad SPA’s wet areas.

Additionally, the resort is offering a “WFP: Work From Paradise” package, uniquely designed to meet the needs of today’s traveler and inspired by the emerging ‘workation’ trend which suggests that travelers are leveraging technology to take their work abroad while reconnecting with family in a beautiful setting. With starting rates of $315 and a four-night minimum stay, this package includes a daily $75 resort credit, premium Wi-Fi, early check-in/late check-out and 50 percent discount on a re-energizing massage — not to mention the most beautiful of backdrops for Zoom calls.
