Departing March 30, 2019, the Amazon Rainforest FAM starts in Ecuador’s capital city with a full day tour of colonial and modern Quito. Advisors will travel through the colonial center visiting the cathedral, Government Palace, and La Compania Church before making a stop at the equatorial monument and interactive museum. The next day, travelers will fly to Coca and transfer to the Napo River port, where they’ll board the M/V Manatee. The next three days will be spent floating down the river. Highlights include visiting the Yasuni National Park, which is home to pink dolphins; meeting a Quechua family for a cultural immersion experience; participating in a cooking class with an Ecuadorian chef; and exploring the rainforest with a visit to a canopy tower overlooking the Amazon Basin.
