Viceroy Los Cabos in Baja California has resumed operations and is welcoming back guests.
The resort has reopened with a focus on safety and wellbeing, and offers 194 accommodations including waterside casitas and villas, five dining experiences, holistic-focused spa treatments, community give-back programs, and more.
The guest experience will be enhanced by Viceroy’s Promise of Cleanliness Program—an action plan committed to ensuring the wellbeing of guests, colleagues and the local community.
The resort’s 1-, 2-, or 3-bedroom casita and 4-bedroom villas offer an expansive living space with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private rooftop terrace—complete with a private pool, grill and outdoor dining and lounge area. Each casita and villa also comes with a dedicated Lifestyle Assistant to tend to every guest’s needs.
“We are thrilled to reopen our doors and welcome back guests to Viceroy Los Cabos,” said Peter Bowling, regional managing director, in a press release statement. “The safety of our guests, colleagues and the San Jose del Cabo community is of paramount importance, we have been working hard to ensure the resort not only meets but exceeds expectations for anyone who steps through our doors.”
The Viceroy also boasts a new art mural known as the Tree of Life. Representing “New Beginnings,” the Tree of Life will be an evolving art piece in collaboration with local Mexican artists as part of the resort’s new Artist in Residence Program. In addition to their contribution to the Tree of Life mural, each artist will be invited to stay on property and showcase their own work in a pop-up art gallery. Launching in November, the rotating art gallery will be a way for the resort to continue to support the local community and for guests to enjoy a more interactive experience with each artist, learning more about their work and life in Mexico.
Viceroy Los Cabos will implement Viceroy’s Promise of Cleanliness Program aimed at implementing enhanced standards of cleanliness at the resort throughout the guest experience. To deliver on this promise, the resort’s general manager and health & hygiene ambassador lead a Safety Committee program responsible for training, implementation and compliance.
The new protocols include measures such as disinfecting luggage handles upon arrival, minimal contact check-in and check-out, furniture layout to promote physical distancing, and frequent disinfectant of high-touch surfaces, among other measures.
Viceroy Hotels & Resorts has also introduced a Contribution without Compromise initiative—a program designed to support and show Viceroy’s gratitude to the local healthcare workers who have been affected by the crisis. To support this initiative, get every room booked directly with Viceroy Los Cabos (reservations made on the Viceroy website or by phone) the resort will allocate a 50 percent off discounted room to a local healthcare worker from the nearby San Jose del Cabo, H+ Hospital and Cabo San Lucas, St. Luke’s Medical Hospital.
