Regent Seven Seas Cruises is adding a fifth ship to its luxury fleet: the Seven Seas Splendor.

The all-suite, all-balcony ship is scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2020 and will be the cruise line’s second Explorer-class ship, joining its sister, Seven Seas Explorer, which launched in 2016.

In order to choose the name of this new ship, Regent Seven Seas sought suggestions from travel agents, loyal guests and employees. Seven Seas Splendor was chosen from over 14,000 submissions.

In addition to the expansion of its fleet with the Seven Seas Splendor, Regent Seven Seas is also currently undergoing a $125 million fleet-wide refurbishment that will bring all ships in the fleet to the standards set by Seven Seas Explorer.
