Emerald Cruises has announced a significant fleet expansion planned for 2027, introducing two new luxury superyachts and a European river ship that will mark the brand’s debut on the Seine River.
The growth builds on the momentum of Emerald Kaia and Emerald Astra, both slated to launch in April 2026. The new ocean vessels, Emerald Raiya and Emerald Xara, will each feature 128 all-suite accommodations, an expansive Sky Deck with private cabanas, a swim-up marina platform, an open-air fitness area and the brand’s Elements Spa.
Additional highlights include multiple dining venues offering regionally inspired cuisine and a curated collection of paddleboards and SeaBobs.
Emerald Raiya is scheduled to debut in the Seychelles in Winter 2026-2027, before repositioning to the Eastern Mediterranean in Summer 2027, and returning to the Seychelles in Winter 2027-2028.
Emerald Xara will launch in the Mediterranean in the summer of 2027 and move to the Caribbean for Winter 2027-2028. Meanwhile, Emerald Kaia will be redeployed to the Caribbean for the Winter 2026-2027 season, joining Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara. Guests previously booked on Emerald Kaia’s Seychelles itineraries will be offered transfers to the new Emerald Raiya.
By Winter 2027-2028, all four Emerald superyachts will operate in the Caribbean, significantly expanding the brand’s warm-weather offerings.
Seine River Debut with Emerald Lumi
In a first for the brand, Emerald Cruises will also enter the Seine River market in 2027 with the launch of Emerald Lumi, a purpose-built river ship designed to navigate the iconic French waterway. Offering round-trip itineraries from Paris, the ship will feature contemporary interiors, spacious suites and locally inspired onboard experiences.
Emerald Lumi’s sailings will include stops in historic towns such as Honfleur and Rouen, with immersive programming focused on French cuisine, art and regional storytelling.
