Crystal Secures Financing for Two New Ultra-Luxury Ships

Crystal has secured financing to support the construction of its next two luxury cruise ships. The financing agreement, led by Citibank N.A. London Branch and supported by a consortium of international banks, represents a step forward in Crystal’s expansion and growth.

“This consortium’s backing validates our position in the ultra-luxury cruise segment,” said Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, Executive Chairman of A&K Travel Group, Crystal’s parent company, in a press statement.

Cristina Levis, AKTG CEO, emphasized in a media statement that the “financing was made possible through the dedicated support of key Italian financial institutions. We extend our deep gratitude to the Italian Export Credit Agency SACE, under the leadership of CEO Alessandra Ricci and team leader Mariano Di Biagio, for their strategic partnership.”

The two new ships will each measure 61,800 gross tons and accommodate approximately 650 guests, offering all-suite accommodations with private verandas. They will also include solo traveler-friendly categories and high crew-to-passenger ratios, hallmarks of the Crystal brand.

Developed in collaboration with renowned international architectural firms, the ships are being built by Italian shipyard Fincantieri, continuing a three-decade relationship between the builder and the Lefebvre family. The first ship is expected to be delivered in May 2028.
