Lido House, New Port Beach
Slated to open next month, Southern California’s Lido House aims to make guests feel at home with its beach-house-inspired design. Borrowing from the surrounding coastal homes in Newport Beach, the lobby features a coffee bar welcoming guests to sip on a cup of java throughout the day while taking in the beach landscape via the large windows and French doors that line the space. Throughout the property, the casual yet sophisticated theme is carried out in the architecture, which includes classic beach house elements such as wood siding, trim work, ironwork, and historic roof elements like dormers and copulas. The boutique hotel consists of 130 rooms, including five 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottages. These cottages feature full kitchens and living rooms, as well as fireplaces and barbecues on their rooftop decks. Lido House will also be home to Newport Beach’s first rooftop bar, along with a courtyard pool, a spa, and an upscale full-service restaurant.
