Mexico’s Grand Velas Resorts in Riviera Maya and Riviera Nayarit are opening their doors to parents, children and grandparents with new packages and experiences geared towards multi-generational families. 

The all-inclusive Grand Velas Resort in Riviera Maya is offering a Grandparents Package for up to 12 people starting at $7,404. The deal includes activities such as family painting classes, cooking classes to learn the art of the traditional Mexican barbecue, in-suite boardgames, private tours to the Mayan ruins at Tulum and photography classes to record all the fun and learn how to take the perfect selfie.  

Meanwhile, at all-inclusive resort in Riviera Nayarit, families can takeover the specially-designated kids’ or teens’ club spaces for special celebrations for $4,199. Private parties come complete with themed decorations, candy and popcorn bars, cakes, cupcakes and the all-important pinata. Kids’ Club activities to choose from include balloon games and painting. The teens’ club space has plenty of amenities for older children, including an Xbox Kinect, pool table, ping pong, karaoke and a dance floor. The Kids’ and Teens’ Club Takeover is also available at Grand Velas Riviera Maya.

Nightly rates at the resorts are additional and start at $454 at the Riviera Nayarit property and $617 at the Riviera Maya location per person per night in double occupancy. Children three and under are free, 4- to 12-year olds are $60 per night and 13- to 15-year-olds are $100 each for up to two children staying in the same suite. The rate includes accommodation, a la carte meals at a variety of on-site restaurants, premium branded beverages, 24-hour in-suite service, taxes and gratuity. Both resorts offer suites for single families and two-bedroom family suites for larger groups.
