The Palladium Group is celebrating the opening of its first TRS Hotel hotel in Europe, TRS Ibiza Hotel in Spain. Located in San Antonio alongside the Cala Gració and Cala Gracioneta beaches, it is billed as the first “premium, all-inclusive adult-only hotel on the island.” The 378-room property features three restaurants, four bars including Gravity sky lounge with views of the San Antonio bay, three pools, a gym and spa with a hydrotherapy circuit and five treatment rooms. Guests enrolled in the Signature Level program can enjoy additional benefits both within and outside of the hotel, including the choice of the best suites, private check-ins and access to Ibiza’s popular restaurants and venues.
Meanwhile, in other hotel news, the Confidante Miami Beach is to become the Andaz Miami Beach following a $60 million, two-year refurbishment and rebranding of the oceanfront property. The Collins Avenue hotel will remain open throughout the multi-phased renovation, which is due to finish by early 2024. The project includes modernized rooms, more suites, a refreshed pool and recreation area, new food and beverage offerings and a revamped meeting and event spaces. Andaz Miami Beach will be the first Florida property for Hyatt’s luxury lifestyle brand, Andaz, which has 25 hotels throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The Miami Beach hotel will continue to be managed by Hyatt.
Family-friendly fun in Fort Lauderdale and Grand Cayman Islands
Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa has created a new summer experience that is sure to be a hit with the whole family. Taking advantage of its 16-acre private beach, the resort is offering a Sandcastle Sommelier package so guests can show off their sandcastle-building skills. The package, which starts at $549/night for stays from June 1 to Sept. 30, 2022, includes:
- Four-to five-night stay in a Pool & Ocean Double Bed Balcony Room
- In-room kits with beach buckets and sandcastle molds
- In-room kinetic sand set
- A Marriott beach bag and the all-important flag for atop the sandcastle
- Dunes Cabana for the day (based on availability)
Another kid-friendly option is the Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa in Grand Cayman, with its new interactive waterpark, SPLASH, which has been designed for children of all ages and abilities. Kids can enjoy various types of water features, including splash pads that spray water up from the ground, while learning about local flora and fauna such as Mango, Sea Grape and Royal Palm. They can also try their hand at connecting sound and movement by hopping and dancing on Dance Chimes integrated into tiles on the ground. The resort is offering special SPLASH packages for on-site birthday parties that include the use of the Splash Pad for 2 hours, child supervision from Camp Seafire team members, themed birthday cakes and party games and other arts and crafts activities.
