Whether your clients are honeymooning, celebrating a 20-year marriage, or renewing their vows, it doesn’t get more romantic, decadent and unique than these onboard and onshore cruise offerings.
Celebrity Cruises
Alaska, Venice, Paris and beach parties in the Caribbean are just a few of the destinations Celebrity Cruises is offering through its custom-tailored vow renewal packages. In Venice, vow renewals can include a romantic gondola ride with Italian music, wine and cheese tasting, while in Paris, there’s an option for a setting right in front of the Eiffel Tower, with a limousine tour around the city that includes a photo shoot. For clients looking to make their special day a family affair, Celebrity’s All Ashore Beach Bash ($2,595) in the Caribbean, meanwhile, has something for all ages. Before the party begins, couples are able to have a pre-cruise party planning session with event coordinators. Once preparations are in place, guests receive roundtrip transportation to their Caribbean beach location of choice for a tropical ceremony complete with flowers for the couple; one white bride or party girl beach hat; colorful party beach hats; sunglasses; exotic; silk flower leis; sunscreen party favors; one assorted package of noise makers; and party beads. Following the ceremony, the entire family can enjoy a 1-hour signature drink party with assorted appetizers, wedding treats, plus steel pan player, flowers, a rum punch station and
kids party activities, and a 4-hour beach chair rental. Celebrity’s vow renewal packages are available at different locations across the globe and are personalized to guests’ preferences.
Costa Cruises
Newly married couples can experience intimate, spa-centric festivities made for two aboard Costa Cruises’ 4,947-passenger, Costa Diadema. The ship’s Samsara Spa features two private Villas with jacuzzis for guests to luxuriate in for 25 minutes before receiving a 50-minute couple’s massage ($258 per couple) or 75-minute Stone, Bamboo, or Thai poultice massage ($381 per couple). Make sure your clients spoil themselves (this is their honeymoon after all) and order chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne for a more indulgent experience. In the spa’s Rasul chamber ($75 per couple), things are going to get a little steamy as couples are able to apply products, such as a body scrub, body mask, facial scrub and facial mask, to each other, then use a private steam room and tropical rainshower to rinse it off. Private Villas and the Rasul chamber must be booked in advance at the reception desk or by calling the spa from guests’ cabin.
Guests sailing on the Costa Diadema can round out their wellness honeymoon by booking a Samsara cabin or suite. Samsara cabins feature bathrobes, slippers, and a special Elemis amenities kit for guests, plus unlimited access to the spa’s thermal areas and access to the Solarium, while Samsara suites come complete with special amenities, including a scale, aromatic diffuser, shower filter, water boiler and teacups. Rates for the Samsara staterooms start at $1,219 for the 6-night Marvellous Mediterranean itinerary on the Costa Diadema, departing Sept. 23, 2016.
Crystal Cruises
There’ll be plenty of time for your clients to cozy up on Crystal Cruises’ 32-day 2017 Northwest Passage voyage from Anchorage, Alaska to New York City, departing Aug. 15, 2017. Suggest this “dream expedition” as a milestone anniversary gift for couples who take a dash of luxury with their adventure. While sailing through picturesque landscapes aboard the elegant 1,070-passenger Crystal Serenity, couples have the opportunity to spot rare wildlife and learn about the Arctic culture and its people. Excursions include kayaking at sea and trekking by land on Baffin Island in Canada’s Nunavut territory, where regional residents include harp seals, Arctic foxes, geese, gulls, ravens, and polar bears. During their days at sea, your clients have a variety of “date” options to choose from, such as the classic dinner (try the specialty Italian restaurant Prego) and a movie (in the Hollywood Theatre) combo, instructor-led dance classes, and afternoon tea in the sunlit Palm Court. Cruise-only fares start at $21,855 pp.
Holland America Line
At sea, Holland America Line’s Renewal of Vows package takes a traditional approach; invitations are available for the couple to invite guests to the ceremony and reception, the bride receives a corsage and there is a formal ceremony followed by a celebration ($13.42 per guest) with live music, Champagne, wine and hors d’oeuvres served by the ship’s staff. The package ($129.20 per couple) is available for booking through Holland America Line’s Ship Services Department and also includes a professional photo, a photo album and dinner for two one evening in the Pinnacle Grill. Couples sailing on Caribbean and Panama Canal cruises that visit Half Moon Cay—the company’s private island in The Bahamas—are able to renew their vows ($89 per couple) in a traditional Bahamian chapel nestled in a garden overlooking the water. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite tropical attire to the casual ceremony. Afterwards, Champagne and cake are served, and couples are photographed on the island for a picture that will later be delivered to their stateroom in a souvenir frame.
Norwegian Cruise Line
Timeless honeymoon and anniversary gifts—a dozen red roses, chocolate-covered strawberries and sparkling wine—are great, but for the creme de la creme of swoon-worthy delights, you’ll want to book your clients on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Ultimate Romance Package ($399), which features all those goodies plus canapes delivered to guests’ stateroom one evening, breakfast in bed on two days of the couples’ choosing, and tea service in guests’ stateroom on the afternoon of their choice—but it doesn’t end there. The package, available fleetwide, also includes a romantic dinner for two at Cagney’s Steakhouse with a complimentary bottle of red or white wine, a romantic dinner for two at the Parisian-styled Le Bistro restaurant with a complimentary bottle of red or white wine, two 25-minute, half-body Swedish massages and two 8×10 professional portraits to take home.
Paul Gauguin Cruises
For those couples who like to color outside the lines, Paul Gauguin Cruises offers a vow renewal package where guests participate in a Polynesian blessing ceremony on the 332-passenger m/s Paul Gauguin, or, on the cruise line’s private islet of Motu Mahana overlooking the lagoon off the coast of Taha’a in French Polynesia. In addition to an in-stateroom celebratory bottle of Champagne, this unique package ($315 on board or ashore) includes a French Polynesian-themed service conducted by the ship’s cruise director, a deluxe flower arrangement, and a French Polynesian poem reading, plus heis, or crowns of flowers, for the couple, and a performance of traditional Tahitian songs by the Les Gauguins troupe of musicians. After their vows are said, couples receive a complimentary reception cake and box of chocolates, a congratulatory letter from the captain, and one 8×10 photo portrait. The icing on the cake, however, will be guests’ invitation to dine with the ship’s captain or hotel director.
Princess Cruises
It would be remiss of us not to share the romance offerings on the “Love Boat” line, as Princess Cruises’ fleet features an array of couple-friendly onboard activities and venues, ranging from Movies Under the Stars, where guests cozy up with complimentary popcorn, warm cookies, milk and blankets to watch Hollywood movies play on a 300-sq.-ft., poolside movie theater, to The Sanctuary, an exclusive adults-only retreat set in a plush, outdoor spa-inspired setting that offers signature beverages, light meals and massages. For couples splurging on a special occasion sailing, the line also offers a Honeymoon or Anniversary Celebration package ($149.99) that includes one bottle of Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne in guests’ stateroom, two Princess Cruises engraved souvenir Champagne glasses, a framed formal portrait, two long stemmed roses, chocolate-dipped strawberries delivered to guests’ stateroom their first evening on board, and a Godiva heart-shaped box of chocolates. Couples can up the ante with a 25-minute massage or facial ($117.99 per couple), or, for a real treat, upgrade to the Deluxe Honeymoon or Anniversary Celebration package ($444.99), featuring all of the aforementioned benefits plus Champagne breakfast in bed, two Princess Cruises waffle robes (gifts to take home), a visit to the Lotus Spa for one 25-minute therapeutic massage or facial pp, canapes or petit fours delivered to guests’ stateroom on the evening of their choice, and a personalized invitation from the Captain to visit the bridge while in port for spectacular front-of-ship views from the bridge’s wraparound windows.
