Together, we are shaping the future of Bahamian tourism, and I am excited to see the continued growth of Nassau Cruise Port as a gateway to The Bahamas and a source of opportunity for all.

Nassau Cruise Port by the Numbers
The numbers tell the story. In 2023, Nassau Cruise Port hosted 4.4 million passengers, up from 3.2 million in 2022. In 2024, it welcomed 5.6 million passengers. The impact is significant. In 2024, The Bahamas welcomed approximately 9.1 million visitors, with 61 percent—about 5.6 million—arriving via cruise ships at Nassau Cruise Port. This influx contributes an estimated $2.6 billion to annual tourism revenues, benefiting many local businesses, from retailers and restaurants to tour operators and artisans.
Nassau Cruise Port’s growth creates opportunities for established businesses and new Bahamian entrepreneurs. The port’s expansion has also increased demand for workforce development, generating jobs in traditional and emerging industries.
Looking ahead, NCP has plans for further expansion and improvement. New developments in the pipeline include enhanced facilities for guest transportation to attractions across New Providence, family-oriented experiences, diverse dining options and sustainable practices. In addition, Nassau Cruise Port is also advancing downtown-centered projects to enhance the overall visitor experience.
