Swan Hellenic is preparing to add a third expedition ship to its fleet with the launch in early 2023 of SH Diana—the largest of its PC 6 ice-class vessels. Swan Hellenic is celebrating the milestone with Early Swan Savings of 30 percent off its brochure prices for bookings made between now and the end of September.
SH Diana and its sister ships SH Vega and SH Minerva will take Swan Hellenic guests on cultural expeditions across all seven continents next year. SH Diana will be based in the Mediterranean, Red Sea and East Africa while SH Vega will focus on the Atlantic and West Africa and SH Minerva on the Pacific.
The 192-passenger SH Diana has 96 staterooms, including 11 suites, that range in size from 20 sq. m. Oceanview Staterooms to a 47 sq. m. Premiere Suite. The vessel is due to sail 24 voyages of between eight and 21 days during its debut season, beginning with the 13-day From Greece Coasts to Sicily Island cruise from Pireaus to Palermo, departing March 26, 2023. Prices for the journey, which takes guests along the Greek, Turkish, Italian and Albanian coasts, starts at $8,101 per person.
SH Vega, which made its debut this July in the Arctic, will sail the Atlantic to the Americas and then to Antartica where it will spend the winter before heading to West Africa in spring 2023. After its African sojourn, the Swan Hellenic ship will explore the Canary Islands before heading to Western Europe and back to the Arctic. A highlight from its 2023 season is the 21-day transatlantic Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia & South Atlantic Islands cruise from Ushuaia to Cape Town, departing March 5, 2023. Prices start at $14,712 per person.
SH Minerva will begin the season in Antarctica before embarking on a semi-circumnavigation of the globe from Ushuaia to Dunedin, New Zealand, exploring the White Continent and South Pacific islands. A highlight from its season is the 18-day Pacific Islands: Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands & Fiji Islands cruise from Cairns to Lautoka, offering guests a taste of beautiful Melanesia. Prices start at $13,920 per person.
