Star Clippers: Must-Sail 2025 Itineraries

Star Clipper will spend the 2024/2025 winter season sailing the lush coastlines of Costa Rica and Panama.

After a successful inaugural season in Central America, Star Clipper will spend the 2024/2025 winter season sailing the lush coastlines of Costa Rica and Panama, taking in the tranquil beaches of places like Isla San Jose in the Pearl Islands as well as the port town of Quepos, Costa Rica, located near the magnificent Manuel Antonio National Park.

Those looking to experience the magic of Venice aboard a tall ship will be happy to learn that in summer 2025, Star Flyer will offer a pair of 11-day sailings between Venice and Rome. Star Flyer also will take over the Grand Prix sailings in 2025, with two itineraries on offer: the May 17 sailing roundtrip out of Cannes to Monaco for the Grand Prix trials on May 23; and the May 24 sailing between Cannes and Rome for the Grand Prix finals on May 25. Those looking to book back-to-back sailings can save 5 percent off the second sailing.

Star Clippers’ special Grand Voyage itineraries are created to allow guests to experience an extended journey through the Eastern and Western Mediterranean and are available on all three of the clipper ships. These nine- to 20-night sailings have no more than three days at sea during any trip, allowing more time for exploring small towns and UNESCO heritage sites, sampling the local cuisine, and getting a glimpse of life as a local. An array of 14-night sailings island-hopping in Greece on Star Flyer takes in lesser-known islands like Skiathos and Skopelos in addition to favorites like Santorini and Mykonos.

On deck, the Royal Clipper.

Star Clippers operates three of the world’s largest and tallest sailing vessels: Star Clipper and Star Flyer are traditional clipper ships with modern amenities carrying 166 guests, while the 227-guest Royal Clipper holds the Guinness World Record for being the largest and only five-masted, full-rigged sailing ship in service today. All three ships have expansive teak decks, swimming pools, informal dining, convivial tropical bars on deck and piano lounges.
