Silversea has launched its 2026 Alaska and Arctic seasons, with 30 Alaska sailings and 21 Arctic voyages.

“Silversea has a longstanding leadership in delivering deeply immersive experiences in over 900 of the world’s most remarkable destinations, including both polar regions,” said Bert Hernandez, president, Silversea, in a press statement. “Whether navigating Alaska’s glacier lined waterways to lesser-known destinations like Pine Island or witnessing the Arctic’s diverse wildlife alongside Silversea’s expert expedition team, guests can expect true discovery at every turn.”

The Arctic season runs aboard Silver Endeavour and Silver Wind, covering four countries, 55 destinations and latitudes as far north as 80 degrees. Ports of call include Svalbard, Disko Bay and Ilulissat, with select voyages traversing the Northwest Passage. Expedition teams—naturalists, historians, glaciologists and marine biologists—lead daily Zodiac landings, guided hikes, kayaking and wildlife spotting. Guests may encounter polar bears, Arctic foxes, musk oxen, walruses, seals and whales, as well as seabird colonies nesting along cliff faces. Depending on timing, voyages may offer sightings of the Midnight Sun or the early Aurora Borealis. Overnight stays at certain destinations allow for deeper exploration.

Alaska sailings operate aboard Silver Whisper and Silver Moon between Vancouver and Seward, two of the smallest ships operating in the region. The 30 voyages cover 13 destinations, including Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway, Icy Strait Point and Valdez. Smaller stops such as Pine Island, British Columbia and transits through Seymour Narrows round out the itineraries. A 5-day pre-cruise land program is available, covering Anchorage, Denali National Park and Alaska’s rail routes before boarding in Seward.

Silversea will expand both programs in 2027, growing to 36 Alaska voyages and 19 Arctic departures. Four voyages are worth noting:

  • A 7-night sailing on Silver Moon (June 3–10, 2027) traces the Inside Passage from Seward to Vancouver, calling at Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway with glacier viewing at Hubbard Glacier.
  • The reverse routing on Silver Moon (Aug. 19–26, 2027) runs Vancouver to Seward, adding Sitka and Tracy Arm to the itinerary.
  • A 12-day expedition on Silver Endeavour (July 19–31, 2027) departs Longyearbyen for Reykjavik, venturing into the High Arctic with stops along Greenland’s eastern coast.
  • An extended 17-day voyage on Silver Endeavour (Aug. 11–28, 2027) covers Svalbard, Greenland’s fjords and remote communities before sailing to Iceland and concluding in Reykjavik.
