Scenic Group has announced the upcoming launch of the Scenic Ikon, which will join the brand’s Discovery Yacht Fleet for its inaugural season beginning April 2028.
At 26,500 gross tons, 672 ft. long and spanning a 78-ft. beam, it will cater for up to 270 guests in 135 all-verandah suites ranging from 365 sq. ft. to 2,691 sq. ft. over five decks.
Purpose-built for expedition cruising, the Scenic Ikon is designed to operate seamlessly across both polar regions and tropical destinations. Engineered to Polar Code 6 standards and featuring an Ice Class 1A Super-strengthened hull, Scenic Ikon will carry two Airbus helicopters; a custom-built Triton AVA submersible, a custom-designed Triton AVA submersible; a fleet of Zodiacs; and Fassmer-built superyacht tenders—ensuring guests have access to immersive exploration in every corner of the globe.
Additionally, passengers can expect 15 dining experiences, spacious lounges and a 2-level, 18,298-sq.-ft Senses Rejuvenation Spa.
Inaugural voyages will depart Venice in April 2028, and the maiden season, running through March 2029, will span 110 ports, 21 countries and 26 new destinations, including the Mediterranean, Aegean and Egypt, the Cape Verde Islands, Dakar, Antarctica, the Falkland Islands and the Chilean Fjords.
Guests taking advantage of the Pay in Full offers will enjoy a complimentary helicopter flight, plus there are newly unveiled exclusive helicopter landings at renowned golf courses, celebrated local restaurants and historic landmarks, not to mention access to remote wilderness regions.
