Hawks Cay Resort is celebrating its 40th holiday season with a festive lineup of events designed to bring families and friends together. From Thanksgiving through New Year’s, the 60-acre resort in the Florida Keys will infuse each holiday moment with an authentic touch of island life.
With a variety of accommodations—from private 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom villas to cozy guestrooms and suites—holiday travelers can enjoy a personalized getaway that suits their needs.
Guests can kick off the season with Thanksgiving—Hawks Cay-style—with these events:
- Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk: Take a scenic run or walk on Thanksgiving Day through the string of islands that make up Duck Key. Beginning at 7 a.m., the Hawks Cay Turkey Trot calls for a $35 advance registration.
- Angler & Ale Thanksgiving Feast: This Hawks Cay waterfront restaurant will serve up traditional Thanksgiving fare with a menu that includes roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, pumpkin pie and more. Available on Thanksgiving Day from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., the holiday meal is priced at $70 per adult and $35 per child (13 and under). Children under 3 are complimentary.
Guests staying four nights or more between Nov. 27 and Dec. 1 can take advantage of the resort’s 35% off Hawks Cay’s Stay and Save offer.
During the holidays, Hawks Cay offers numerous events for guests of all ages.
Some include:
- Elf Tuck-Ins: Embrace the magic of the season as Santa’s little helpers bring joy to bedtime with a story and an early holiday gift. Available Thursday through Sunday evenings for $25 per child.
- Santa’s Workshop: Children can immerse themselves in the holiday spirit by crafting ornaments with Santa’s elves on Wednesday and Saturday mornings for $10.
- Gingerbread Junction: Families are invited to gather and decorate their very own gingerbread houses. Kits are available for $30 at Coral Cay, a dedicated space for family-friendly activities and entertainment and a home base for the Hawks Cay kid’s program, Camp Hawks.
- Random Acts of Caroling: Guests can spread holiday cheer by booking carolers to come directly to their villa or resort room for a personalized performance. Available for $10 per song.
- Write a Letter to Santa or Design a Holiday Card: Children can express their holiday wishes through heartfelt letters or creatively designed cards on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Coral Cay. This is a complimentary activity.
- Meet and Greet with Santa: On December 22, capture timeless holiday moments with Santa at Coral Cay and the Marina Dock. This is a complimentary activity.
- Story Time and Hot Chocolate with Mrs. Claus: Gather around every Saturday evening at Coral Cay for cozy holiday stories with Mrs. Claus. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate for $2.
