It’s called America’s fastest-growing sport, and fans think it’s a very big dill.

Miami Beach’s first amateur pickleball doubles tournament is coming to Lincoln Road for three exciting days of court action this fall. South Beach Slam is slated to run from Friday, Nov. 17 to Sunday, Nov. 19 with tournaments taking place on eight courts set up on the city parking lot at 1665 Lennox Avenue on Lincoln Road. Each team will play during a dedicated 2-3 hour time slot each day, based on their skill level.

The tournament kicks of at 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a lineup of activations that include free community clinics led by Major League Pickleball pros, free lessons by the Miami Beach Tennis Center and a welcome reception for all participants at Yard House Miami Beach to wrap up the opening day festivities.

Pickleball All Weekend During the South Beach Slam

Double amateur tournaments start early Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with live DJ entertainment. Each team will play during a dedicated 2-3 hour time slot each day, based on their skill level. The tournaments continue on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a cash prize of $1,000 awarded to winners in each of the six skill divisions. Tickets start at free for spectators, but there is a registration fee for players.

The Loews Miami Beach Hotel is offering a limited-time promotional rate to tournament registrants of $249/night while inventory lasts. November in Miami is breezy and warm, so if clients are heading to the Magic City, great weather and pickleball are waiting.
