Las Vegas’ iconic Mob Museum is putting women in the spotlight this March with a dynamic lineup of events in honor of Women’s History Month.

From uncovering the secrets of one of America’s earliest female crime bosses to a powerhouse panel of Las Vegas trailblazers, these special programs celebrate the impact of women past and present.

    Meet the Queen of Thieves

History meets true crime in The Queen of Thieves: The Jewish Mother Who Built America’s First Criminal Empire, a talk with award-winning journalist and author Margalit Fox. On March 11 at 7 p.m., this event will dive into the stranger-than-fiction story of Fredericka “Marm” Mandelbaum, a Jewish immigrant who went from penniless shopkeeper to one of America’s first organized crime bosses.

With a fencing operation worth $10 million in 1850 (equivalent to $300 million today), Mandelbaum was a true criminal visionary. The discussion will be followed by a book signing of Fox’s latest work, The Talented Mrs. Mandelbaum.

    Trailblazing Women of Las Vegas

On March 27 at 7 p.m., The Mob Museum will host Trailblazing Women: Shaping Las Vegas’s Next Chapter, a panel featuring influential women from politics, sports and entertainment. Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley, Las Vegas Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan and entertainer Sue Kim of The Kim Sisters will take the stage to share their experiences breaking barriers and shaping the city’s future.

Live Music, Mob Stories & More

In addition to its Women’s History Month events, The Mob Museum is offering live music at its outdoor Event Plaza. From jazz to Latin percussion, guests will enjoy free performances on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout March.

Meanwhile, true crime lovers won’t want to miss Family Secrets with Frank Calabrese Jr., which is broadcast Wednesdays through Sundays. Hear firsthand how Calabrese Jr. risked everything to take down his father, a notorious hitman for the Chicago Outfit. His gripping tale of crime, redemption, and FBI undercover work is a must-see.
