Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Hotels brand is expanding into the Mile High state: the company recently announced that it will be opening its 10th hotel in Denver, Colorado, in 2025. The hotel will be part of a new mixed-use development called Fox Park.
Virgin Hotels Expands its Colorado Presence
Formerly the Denver Post printing plant, Fox Park will have 6 million square feet of residential and commercial space, including 14 acres of gardens and park spaces. Virgin Hotels Denver Fox Park will be one of two boutique hotels within the development.

Virgin Hotels Denver Fox Park will have 241 guestrooms—or Chambers—along with the brand’s signature Common’s Club, Shag Room, Funny Library Coffee Shop, ample indoor and outdoor meeting spaces and a large rooftop lounge with an impressive view of Denver’s downtown skyline. The new-build property will also have an 8,000-square-foot spa and fitness concept, including eight treatment rooms and a 2,900-square-foot fitness center on its second floor.
Richard Branson fans will be happy to note that Virgin Hotels is also expanding globally. It launched its first U.K. property in Edinburgh in June 2022, with Glasgow and New York City slated for later this year. The Edinburgh property has 222 Chambers and a unique special events venue, Greyfriar’s Hall, in a restored 19th-century church with a rooftop sanctuary that offers spectacular views of Edinburgh Castle.
Virgin Hotels New York, set to open in Winter 2022 with 463 guestrooms, will be located on the northwest corner of 29th Street and Broadway in the NoMad neighborhood, close to many famous NYC attractions. New Yorkers and visitors will love the addition of the brand’s new concept, The Pool Club, perfect for those hot summer days.
Virgin Hotels Glasgow will open on Dec. 1, 2022, with 240 Chambers across 15 floors in a building right on the banks of the River Clyde, an ideal spot for exploring the city.
