Travelers under age 30 can save $20 on their TSA PreCheck application during the month of May.

Under a special promotion, travelers 30 years old or younger at the time of enrollment will get discounts on TSA PreCheck offered via authorized providers CLEAR, IDEMIA and Telos.

Prices Drop, But Only During May

For example, a five-year TSA PreCheck membership from CLEAR, normally $79.95, would cost $59.95; the cost of enrolling in a five-year membership via IDEMIA would drop from $76.65 to $56.65; and enrolling for five years through Telos would cost $65 rather than $86.

To get the deal, travelers must meet the TSA eligibility requirements and complete the enrollment process between now and May 31, 2026. The offer is only for first-time customers; renewals are not eligible.

Travelers can begin the TSA PreCheck application process online, but it must be completed in person. No discount codes are required; the $20 off will be applied automatically for eligible applicants who pay in person. More than 1,300 enrollment locations are available nationally.

Applications begun in May but finished after May 31 will not get the discount. Individuals who turn 31 during the month of May can still get the discount as long as they complete the in-person portion of the application process before their birthday.

The TSA PreCheck $20 Take Off promotion cannot be used in combination with any other TSA PreCheck discount.

TSA PreCheck offers expedited processing through airport security checkpoints. Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens, nationals and lawful permanent residents with no disqualifying criminal offenses. The process involves an online application, background check and fingerprinting.

Applicants are required to provide proof of identification when applying; see the TSA website for more details.
