Iceland is a hot ticket—and Off the Map Travel is making staying there cooler than ever. You can now book your clients from mid-January through March 2023 on one of their two new glass igloos frozen on a secluded lagoon: showstopper accommodations only accessible by boat or all-terrain vehicles and perfect for watching the Northern lights.

Off the Map Travel Takes Clients Closer to Iceland Than Ever Before

The outfitter’s 5-day/6-night Private Glacier Lagoon Adventure takes your clients on the world’s first overnight stay by the Vatjnajokull glacier for a luxury guided adventure of a lifetime, including a private glacier hike.

Anchored on a dark part of the Fjallsarlon glacial lagoon on the southern coast of Iceland, the transparent igloos are ideally placed for stargazing and watching the Northern lights, while your clients “chill out” in pure comfort. The ample igloos have central heating, a cozy double bed and a bathroom.

“This is a magical way to experience the Northern Lights and the quiet beauty of the Scandinavian winter wilderness,” said Alex Minnis, chief operations officer of Off the Map Travel, in a press statement. “It’s pretty amazing to sleep secluded in an igloo that’s been frozen into a lagoon of glacial meltwater. You get a true feeling of the imposing glacier framed by the vast star-filled arctic sky. And, if you’re lucky, you’ll see the dancing Aurora Borealis.”

The itinerary includes a night in Reykjavik followed by a guided road trip with a driver to Myrdalsjokull. Expect incredible views during the tour, then dinner at the Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon before heading to their igloo to spend the night overlooking the Vatnajokull glacier. By day, they can get close to the glacier or check out nearby Diamond Beach, with its black sand and ice shards.

The itinerary then takes them along the coast for more exploration until it’s time to get to Hotel Ranga for the final night. The price for the trip is based on two people and includes accommodations, a private boat tour to an island with Champagne and lunch, a guided trip to a special location to be determined by weather and seasonal conditions, a private guide and driver for the duration of the itinerary and daily breakfast.
