Oceania Cruises will transition to an adults-only model beginning Jan. 7, 2026, with all new reservations limited to guests ages 18 and older for future voyages. The move reflects the line’s focus on delivering a more refined onboard environment and aligns with evolving guest preferences, giving travel advisors clarity when positioning Oceania for clients seeking a quieter, adult-focused cruise experience.

All existing reservations made prior to Jan. 7, 2026, that include travelers under the age of 18, will be fully honored, ensuring a seamless and considerate transition for valued guests.

“Our guests have consistently shared that the tranquil environment aboard our ships is one of the primary reasons they return time and time again,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises, in a media statement. “By transitioning to an adults-only experience, we are enhancing the very essence of the Oceania Cruises journey – one defined by sophistication, serenity and discovery.”

Oceania Cruises said the decision follows extensive research that included input from repeat guests, travel advisors, and new-to-brand travelers. According to the cruise line, feedback consistently pointed to demand for a serene onboard atmosphere, sophisticated service and an unhurried pace—attributes that resonate strongly with its mature, affluent customer base.
