More Minion Mischief On its Way to Universal Orlando

Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast will be right at the entrance of Minion Land.

In true Minion style, more is more at Universal Orlando’s soon-to-open Minion Land with the debut of Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast this summer.

This unique blaster game attraction is a blend of immersive sets, interactive game-based technology, custom animation and an original storyline so your clients, young and old, can put their best villain alter egos to the test. As soon as they step through the door, they’re transported to the largest convention for villains in the world—Villain-Con—where they can browse the trade show floor and check out the latest in evil gadgets and fashion. Of course, no villain is complete without a blaster, so they’ll have a chance to compete against other villains with their own “E-Liminator X” blaster, complete with Freeze Rays, Banana Bombs, Explosive Nunchucks and much more.

Throughout the blasting fun, they’ll be accompanied by the members of the Vicious 6 from the film, “Minions: Rise of Gru,” voiced by the original cast from the film. Of note: Villain-Con Minion Blast will also be the first attraction in this theme park to offer your clients a connected gameplay experience through The Official Universal Orlando Resort App, adding an extra layer of fun to the already full-on immersive experiences.

Universal Orlando’s Minion Land
This newest attraction is just one of the many yellow-splendored things your clients can dive into in Minion Land, dedicated exclusively to all things “Despicable Me.” They can dine on “inventive” family fare at Illumination’s Minion CafĂ©, eat banana-flavored popcorn from Pop-a-Nana, cool off with a frozen treat from Freeze Ray Pops or snack on a sweet something from Bake My Day. If the littles need more interaction, they can head to the outdoor Illumination Theater to meet, greet and take pics with Minions, Gru, Margo, Edith and Agness from “Despicable Me” or Rosita, Gunter and Johnny from “Sing.”
