Atlantis Paradise Island continues to celebrate its big 25th Anniversary in high style, most recently with the grand opening of Paranza at The Cove, a swanky eatery helmed by Michelin-starred chef Michael White. The star-studded affair was the first in a series of high-end happenings that weekend, marking the silver anniversary of one of The Bahamas’ premier destination resorts. Celebrity sightings at Paranza included Tony Danza, Marcia Gay Harden, Skylar Astin, Katie Couric, Cynthia Rowley, Kit Keenan, Jennifer Esposito, Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman, all VIPs who enjoyed signature cocktails and menu items.

The next evening the celebration continued with the Bal de Royale—an extravagant music-filled night that included a blue carpet arrival for even more celebrities (think Helena Christensen, Cynthia Rowley and Georgina Chapman, among others), cocktails and a VIP dinner at Nobu and the recently opened Silan, by James Beard Award-winning Chef Alon Shaya. After their meal, celebrities and invitees went on to more cocktails and jazz music with Peter Cincotti at Atlantis Casino’s new Bar Sol, ending with a five-time Grammy winner CeeLo Green performance.

Year-Long Celebration at Atlantis

The truth is, the resort has been in a celebratory mode all year. Guests have been enjoying a specialty cocktail (The Royal), signature 25th-anniversary menu items and there’s even an especially exotic 25th Anniversary package. The latter, a $25,000 affair, includes, among many other things, a five-night stay in a luxury suite at The Royal, The Cove, The Reef, or The Coral; an 8-course dinner at Michelin-starred Chef José Andrés’ restaurant FISH; a full-day seaplane adventure to Kamalame Cay, with an overwater tour of the Andros Great Barrier Reef, a day of island exploration, and a “sea-to-table” beachside lunch under a palapa; an overnight Marine Life Camping adventure: a guide-led snorkel through the resort’s underwater ruins with baby manta rays and rescued marine mammals, and a fireside dinner on the beach before sleeping in a climate-controlled tent at Dolphin Cay; his and her sterling silver jewelry from Atlantis’ Crystal Court shops, commemorating the resort’s silver anniversary valued up to $1,000; a day-long VIP guide to Aquaventure, the largest waterpark in the region, offering expedited access to the resort’s famed water slides, pools and attractions, including the thrilling Leap of Faith; and too much more to list. Of note: The package is only available through the end of 2023, so book while you still can.

And there’s been much to celebrate this year. The resort has invested millions in renovations and upgrades, including new restaurants like the Paranza above and Silan, plus the first resort location for the delicious Shake Shack, the new Bar Sol and a refresh of the entire casino (currently in motion), as well as a spectacular redo of its Royal Tower. All 1201 guestrooms and suites received a makeover, and the results are noteworthy—as are the jaw-dropping views of the lagoon and waterpark. This tower is home to The Dig Aquarium and is very convenient to just about everything, including the Casino, the Marina Village and the waterpark.

And if your clients haven’t made plans to end the New Year in high style, Atlantis is pulling out all the stops at its annual Party Like a Royal New Year’s Celebration with performances by Grammy-award-winning artist and producer Timbaland, a midnight set by DJ Webstar, a surprise performance and more fun than your clients will know what to do with. Make sure they fly in early because, on December 30, the resort will host a performance by Maroon 5.
