Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa Cabo San Lucas is undergoing a significant transformation scheduled for completion in October 2025. This top-to-bottom renovation features reimagined pools, revitalized entertainment spaces and renewed dining destinations.

“This project is dynamic, inspiring and rooted in the evolving desires of our guests. It symbolizes what we believe hospitality should be … not only a place to stay, but a canvas for unforgettable memories,” said Cesar Madera, CEO of The Villa Group Resorts, in a press statement. “We are elevating every part of the journey, whether it’s families making memories by the pool, couples savoring a romantic sunset dinner, or friends escaping to reconnect and explore.”

Villa del Palmar Beach Resort: Major Transformation

The renewal began in 2024 with a redesigned lobby, the open-air Tortugas Terrace and a high-energy Sports Bar. The farm-to-table Tomatillos restaurant now offers fresh, local flavors in a relaxed outdoor setting.

Central to the transformation are the expanded pool areas, featuring larger pools, additional hot tubs, and a new fire pit with lounge seating. A redesigned children’s pool creates playful spaces for families, while adults-only areas provide tranquil retreats.

The completely rebuilt Bella California restaurant fuses Italian cuisine with Baja ingredients, featuring handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas and show-cooking stations. Carbon Grill, the Argentine-style steakhouse, returns with premium meats, seafood and plant-based options. The Taco Bar offers authentic tacos, sushi and handcrafted margaritas in a refreshed space.

Local craftsmanship is evident throughout, lending the refreshed resort a sense of place with traditional pottery, carved woodwork, hand-blown glass lighting and wrought-iron accents that connect to the regional culture.

Located on Medano Beach (one of the few swimmable beaches in the Los Cabos area) with views of Land’s End and El Arco, Villa del Palmar has 466 suites with private terraces, kitchen amenities, and marble bathrooms. The resort offers seven restaurants, beach access, and the 31,000-square-foot Desert Spa with 17 treatment rooms. It sits just 1 mile from downtown Cabo San Lucas.
