Tour operator Sky Bird Group has big news. The company recently announced a focus on Incheon, the gateway to Korea, for its latest itineraries, and it’s also launching new features developed for its Sky Bird Platform.

The new tours include a visit to Songdo Central Park, where visitors can navigate the waterways while taking in the city skyline. History buffs will enjoy tours to the Incheon Open Port Museum, an interactive space that takes a deep dive into the history of trade in the region with, among other things, artifacts dating back to the late 19th century.

“Sky Vacations tours to Incheon provide an unparalleled opportunity to discover the hidden gem of South Korea,” said Richard Krieger, director of Sky Vacations, in a press statement. “With an exhilarating itinerary featuring history, culture, and bespoke accommodations, Incheon is the ideal destination for those seeking an authentic experience of the best that Korea has to offer.”

Sky Bird’s New Opteticket

A multi-GDS solution designed to gain end-to-end control, reduce errors and speed up ticketing for agents who prefer to book with this type of platform, Sky Bird Platform’s new Opteticket streamlines the ticketing process for GDS bookings by performing automated tests and checks of the PNRs. This grants travel advisors greater control over how the commission and agency fees are collected and eliminates the time-consuming exchange of information with the agency. Opteticket is being launched on Amadeus and Sabre, with Travelport to follow.

“Time is money. We understand the importance of efficiency in the travel industry, especially for our valued travel agent partners, and this represents the first of many investments that we are making to improve the quality of service and efficiency for our partners and their customers,” said Norman Knowles, CEO at Sky Bird Travel & Tours, in a press statement. “With Opteticket, we aim to enhance their end-to-end booking experience significantly, allowing our travel agent partners to focus on delivering exceptional service to their agents.”

Among the key features and benefits of Opteticket are enhanced productivity, instant review, commission control and standardized information achieved through automatically filled submission fields in the correct format required by the airlines.

And there is more to come: Opteticket+, a streamlined dashboard that provides schedule change notifications, travel insurance, ticket checks and additional revenue opportunities; Authentication Enhancement; and Wings DNC, which is currently in the test phase.
