Sandos Hotels & Resorts, with hotels in Playa del Carmen, Cancun and Los Cabos, wants to help your bottom line—and to that end, they have been working on completely revamping their Sandos Agents Portal from top to bottom. You can look for a launch date in November of this year when you’ll find a more intuitive, user-friendly platform.

Sandos Hotels & Resorts’ New Portal Details

In addition to an enhanced user interface, you’ll find the old Smart Points currency is gone, replaced by Sandos Coins, where each one equals 1 USD. You can use these for bookings at an industry rate, or you can redeem them for merchandise at the resorts. Note that if you have accrued Smart Points on bookings, you will find they will be transferred and converted into Sandos Coins. You can use your current Smart Points before the transition is complete, and they can be used for new stay requests through the end of October for travel through Dec. 19, 2024.

You’ll also find the revamped site has expanded functionalities that will streamline your user experience and help you bring on your sales game. Included is the option to book commissionable hotel stays for your clients, an easier process to register your bookings, a live availability and booking tool for free stays and travel advisor rates, you’ll be able to use coins to pay for any room type and for roommates, plus you’ll be able to use your coins to buy merchandise at the resorts during your stay.

This is just the first and very important part of the brand’s ongoing digital transformation phase, which includes the recently revamped sandos.com website, online check-in and the Sandos App, which is available to your clients across most of the brand’s hotels.
