Princess Cruises has a special surprise for young and old aboard the new Sun Princess—a collaboration with The Magic Castle that has resulted in Spellbound by Magic Castle, a Victorian-inspired experience steeped in magic with a healthy dash of mixology. The fun starts behind a nondescript door that leads to servers delivering theatrical cocktails with sleight of hand and themed rooms filled with surprises.

“We are excited to introduce Spellbound by Magic Castle and take the art of magic around the world aboard the spectacular new Sun Princess,” said John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises, in a press statement. “This collaboration with The Magic Castle takes entertainment into new dimensions with an extraordinary experience that combines the allure of magic with the thrill of cruising. Spellbound will become an iconic guest favorite on Sun Princess.”

New Sun Princess, New Adventures

If you’ve visited Hollywood’s Magic Castle, you have an inkling of what to expect: magical artifacts, vintage items and interactive special effects all set against an ornate Victorian backdrop. In Spellbound, your clients will move through a Music Room where they’ll interact with the spirit of Isabella and enjoy libations in a vintage Parlor Bar where they’ll be assisted by Artemis the Owl before they sit down in a 30-seat theater to see mind-blowing magic up close and personal.

“We are bringing some of the most authentic aspects of The Magic Castle in Hollywood to Sun Princess, complete with incredible magicians and illusionists, so that Princess guests can experience a taste of the world class magic that is showcased nightly at the Magic Castle,” said Erika Larsen, president of Magic Castle Enterprises, in a press statement. “It’s an exciting opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in a magical experience typically reserved exclusively for members and their guests.”

Spellbound will debut aboard the Sun Princess in February 2024. The ship is currently still under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy and will feature numerous new entertainment offers and activities for your clients to enjoy while they sail the Mediterranean and Caribbean, as well as the most balconies and sun decks on any Princess ship. Inaugural 2024 cruises are on sale now.
