Melia in Bangkok

The city of Bangkok tops many a list for its collection of ornate shrines and vibrant street life. Big attractions are the Wat Pho Temple, with its huge reclining Buddha, and the Wat Arun Temple on the other side of the boat-filled Phraya River, with its steep steps and Khmer-style spire. The Grand Palace and its Wat Phra Kaew Temple are also Insta-worthy visits. INNSiDE Bangkok Sukhumvit is centrally located near the On Nut BTS Skytrain station and is an ideal pied-a-terre for sightseeing pursuits. Here, clients can lounge in the 34th-floor rooftop infinity pool with its transparent bottom and city views, nibble on authentic Spanish tapas gourmet cuisine, and post their social media finds in the cool lobby (with a view, of course), which has co-working space in case email catchup is needed.

Southern Thailand’s Koh Samui island is the second largest in Thailand, located in the Gulf of Thailand and known for its palm-fringed beaches, mountainous rainforest and coconut groves—not to mention its posh resorts and luxury spas. The luxurious Melia at Koh Samui is perched on quite Choeng Mon Beach and centrally located to all the island’s main attractions. It’s only three miles from the airport, so no lengthy travel after that endless flight, and clients will be greeted with designer suites tucked away in lush gardens. The pool has a 500 thousand-gallon wrap-around swimming pool and daily classes—yoga, cooking and Muay Thai.

Beach Retreat

A 7-mile stretch of beach on the northwest coast of Phuket, Mai Khao Beach is part of the Sirinat National Park, meaning it is undeveloped and still serene—that means no vendors, no beach chairs, no jet skis and no parasailing. Of note: The drop-off as you walk into the water is quite steep, so keep that in mind when wading into the Andaman Sea. The Melia Phuket Mai Khao is focused on wellness, and its location is ideal for a mind/body/soul reconnection getaway. The property comprises villas with private pools and ample suites, with premium dining areas offering Southeast Asian and Mediterranean fusion cuisine. The YHI Spa is a highlight, where your clients can immerse themselves in their wellness programs that include yoga and nutrition classes.
