Zel, the hotel brand created by tennis great Rafael Nadal and Melia, will begin its expansion with Zel Sayulita, a new-build hotel in the Mexican Pacific. Slated to open in 2025, the new beachfront property aims to capture the essence of Mediterranean culture, with a nod to the great outdoors.
In addition to 145 rooms, Zel Sayulita will offer a large central courtyard, offering a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, along with a signature restaurant specializing in regional cuisine.

The newly built ME Sayulita is set to open in its first phase, by the end of 2023. With a beachfront location, ME Sayulita will boast 125 rooms and villas. True to the brand philosophy, it will offer the most experienced travelers an upscale, contemporary travel experience, with three restaurants, a main pool, gym, spa, beach club and a rooftop bar and pool.
The second new ME by Meliá hotel in San Miguel de Allende is currently under construction and is also expected to open in 2025. It will boast 140 designer rooms and all the signature attributes of ME by Meliá. Guests will soon be able to enjoy unique dining experiences, a luxury spa, innovative gym and take in the panoramic views of the city from the brand’s distinguishing feature: the rooftop bar.
