Las Vegas Rolls Out New Rideshare Pickup at Harry Reid International

Las Vegas has launched “Fabulous Pickups” at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), unveiling a redesigned rideshare pickup zone at Terminal 1.

The redesigned space incorporates enhanced lighting, expanded seating, and a branded neon wall designed as a photo backdrop. At select times, the area will also feature live entertainment and special activations. The upgraded rideshare zone is part of the airport’s alignment with the broader “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” campaign.

Las Vegas is a city that sets the standard for excitement and hospitality, and we believe the visitor journey should reflect that from the very beginning,” said Steve Hill, CEO and president of the LVCVA, in a media statement. “With Fabulous Pickups, we’ve created a space that’s as vibrant, welcoming, and unforgettable as Las Vegas itself.”

Terminal 1 will also introduce a new “Fabulous” photo installation near the A/B checkpoint, giving travelers a shareable Las Vegas moment before leaving the airport. The feature debuts tomorrow.

On the other end of the spectrum, travelers arriving at New York’s JFK airport will now face added challenges, per reporting on FlightAware. The airport has significantly restricted access to rideshare pickups upon arrival.

The airport has moved rideshare pickups completely off-site for multiple terminals, including for Terminal 5, which services JetBlue flights, and Terminal 7, the destination for the majority of international travelers. At Terminal 4, passengers have already been navigating off-site rideshare pickups during peak hours, a policy in place at the airport for some time.
