Goway Travel has a take on top travel trends and destinations for 2024, offering suggestions for every type of traveler on your list.
Among their new trends for travel in 2024, Goway noted the emergence of rail travel as a preferred and sustainable alternative to road trips and airplanes and pointed out a large number of rail travel packages to some of the world’s top most striking destinations including the Swiss Alps, Alaska, Japan and South Africa’s cities.
Experiential travel is also on the list, with travel and experiences leading the spending trends. Advisors are encouraged to help their clients “connect with the world’s natural wonders and send them on an immersive wildlife experience, from African safaris to snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef or cruising along the Amazon River.”
Other travel trends include extended stays, special events and sports tourism, and an increased interest in Japan, Antarctica, Saudi Arabia and Belize.
Goway Looks at Top Destinations by Traveler
Travelers come in all shapes, sizes and travel preferences, so Goway created a list of lists when it comes to destinations to narrow down the fields, dividing them by small group journeys, bucket-list destinations to check off, cultural hotspots, best places for R&R, off-the-beaten-path trends and suggestions for larger group explorations.
For the small group journeys, which fit in neatly with Goway’s new Odysseys by Goway programs, the tour operator’s suggestions include Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Southern Africa and Peru. Bucketlist destinations included Australia, India, East Africa, Chile and Alaska, while “destinations to soak up the culture” that make the list include Vietnam, Egypt, England, Spain and Brazil.
Clients looking for relaxation might want to check out the list of top destinations for R&R for 2024, such as the islands of Tahiti, Costa Rica, Thailand, the Maldives and Greece. If they’re looking to go off the beaten path, this year, Goway has Malaysia, Antarctica, Papua New Guinea, Botswana and Colombia in its sights. Have larger groups interested in a trip?
