Located 1,620 feet above Lake Lucerne, Burgenstock Resort Lake Lucerne has long attracted celebrities and film icons. In the 1960s, it served as a backdrop for the James Bond film “Goldfinger.” On Sept. 17, 2024, the resort will celebrate the film’s 60th anniversary with events that capture the essence of Bond’s world.

A highlight of the celebration is the Goldfinger Dinner at the Oak Grill & Pool Patio on Sept. 20 and 21. This event will feature a four-course tasting menu inspired by the culinary preferences of James Bond, showcasing seasonal produce expertly flame-grilled. The evening will include live piano music, enhancing the dining experience. The resort’s mixologists have crafted two signature cocktails for the occasion: The Icebreaker, a variation on the classic dry martini with local vodka and fortified wines, and Pussy Galore, a milk punch inspired by a character from the film. Guests are encouraged to dress in black-tie attire, adding to the evening’s elegance.

This includes a selection of sweet and savory treats created by award-winning patissier Damian Carini, paired with fine teas and expertly made martinis. The package features a direct boat trip from Lucerne to Kehrsiten Burgenstock and access to the Burgenstock Funicular, offering a day excursion reminiscent of Bond’s adventures.

Additional amenities ensure guests feel like Bond himself.

The resort will host daily screenings of James Bond films at the Burgenstock Cinema, culminating in a special James Bond film week from Sept. 16 – 22. This offers fans a chance to relive iconic moments from the series.
