Fiji Airways has debuted FlyWell, a wellness program to help reduce the physical effects of long-haul travel for both passengers and crew. The brand new initiative is now available in Business Class on flights between Nadi, Fiji and Los Angeles and San Francisco, as well as in the Premier Tabua Lounge at Nadi International Airport.
“The Fiji Airways FlyWell program reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and care, and marks an important step towards our mission of being the World’s Happiest Airline”, said Mr. Paul Scurrah, Managing Director and CEO of Fiji Airways, in a press statement.
Fiji Airways: Wellness at 10K Feet
Business Class guests are presented with a wellness menu by cabin crew and can select from four product categories. Firefly Recovery is a clinically validated wearable device worn on the lower leg, designed to promote circulation, reduce fatigue and support recovery during flight. Ra Optics Sunset Lenses apply circadian science to regulate light exposure and support natural sleep cycles throughout the journey; cabin crew clean the lenses professionally after every use. The Magic Mind lineup includes two drink options: the Sleep shot is formulated to support deeper in-flight sleep and reduce next-day grogginess associated with jet lag, while the Original shot provides calm focus and sustained energy as a balanced alternative to traditional stimulants.
Inside the Premier Tabua Lounge, guests can request Red Light Therapy sessions in dedicated spaces, offered in partnership with Vital Red Light. Studies have shown the therapy supports energy production, cellular regeneration and muscle recovery. Aires EMF protection technology is installed throughout the lounge, which the airline describes as one of the world’s first EMF-friendly airport lounge environments. The system is engineered to mitigate exposure to electromagnetic radiation from everyday devices, including phones, laptops and Wi-Fi.
All FlyWell products will be complimentary for Business Class guests during the first two months of the program, then shift to available for purchase in the third month. A selection of products will remain available to buy onboard after the initial phase concludes. Fiji Airways plans to expand the program over time with additional solutions.
Of note: Red light therapy and Aires technology are also available in the crew lounge at Nadi International Airport, serving pilots and cabin crew.
