Explora Journeys, part of the MSC Group, has announced A Journey of Caribbean & Bahamian Blue, a new 10-night itinerary aboard EXPLORA II departing from Miami on Jan. 25, 2026, and returning Feb. 4, 2026. The itinerary will include stops in Puerto Plata, Kralendijk, Oranjestad, Willemstad and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the private island dedicated to marine preservation.
“Discovery is at the heart of what we do, creating experiences that inspire curiosity and enhance guests’ engagement throughout their Journey,” said Anna Nash, President of Explora Journeys, in a press statement. “Partnering with Mike Horn and the MSC Foundation allows us to offer guests extraordinary adventures alongside a deeper understanding of the ocean’s beauty, power and vulnerability. This Journey celebrates connection and meaningful ocean experiences.”
Explora Journeys Goes Beyond
Your clients will travel with renowned explorer and brand ambassador Mike Horn, who will lead “Ocean Dialogues” beginning in Oranjestad on Jan. 30. The series of onboard discussions and guided experiences will focus on ocean stewardship, conservation, and responsible exploration. Horn, a South African-born Swiss adventurer, holds several world records, including solo expeditions to the North Pole during the Arctic winter and a global circumnavigation along the equator without motorized transport.
As part of his partnership with Explora Journeys, Horn will join guests for five nights of interactive programming that continues at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. There, participants will visit the MSC Foundation’s Marine Conservation Center to learn about coral restoration and marine protection initiatives before sailing under Horn’s guidance through the Bahamian waters.
The MSC Foundation, established by the Aponte family, is a non-profit organization devoted to environmental and humanitarian projects. Its work focuses on preserving the ocean, supporting community resilience, and promoting education. Ocean Cay is a functional hub for the Foundation’s initiatives, where researchers and visitors collaborate on marine conservation projects.
Guests aboard EXPLORA II can expect opportunities to kayak in clear waters, snorkel above coral ecosystems, and explore Caribbean ports that reflect the natural and cultural diversity of the region. “A Journey of Caribbean & Bahamian Blue” combines luxury travel with education and conservation through curated programming that encourages a deeper connection to the ocean environment.
